GETTING THINGS DONE: Coalition Updates for Winter 2019

  • Early Years Coalition is collecting and researching information around access to affordable and quality childcare.
  • Financial Stability Coalition is collecting local resources and organizing them in a way to share with community members.
  • Supportive Community Health Services Roundtable is collecting caregiver stories to be part of a community awareness project for later this year.
  • Hunger Coalition partners reported 32,644 people received access to food from January - December 2018 and an additional 14,801 community meals were served during this time. 
  • United We Can, sponsored by the Hunger Coalition, will be Thursday, June 13, 2019 in partnership with the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. 
  • Homelessness Coalition partners reported that services were provided to 296 adults and 558 children in south Wood County from January - December 2018. 
  • The Youth Success Coalition will be recruiting youth-based organizations beginning in January for the 2nd Annual Summer Fun Fair at Wisconsin Rapids Area Middle School on May 10, 2019.
