Learning for Life Reading Mentor Program Sign Up 2019

United Way’s Women United would like to invite you to become a Learning For Life Reading Mentor for the 2019-2020 school year!  We are looking for members of our community to mentor students in grades Kindergarten through 3rd on Reading – helping them to refine their skills, become better readers and ultimately have a higher level of success throughout their school years and far beyond.  The commitment is one hour per week each week for the entire school year.  We will be placing Mentors at Humke Elementary in Nekoosa, Grove Elementary, Mead Elementary Charter and Washington Elementary in Wisconsin Rapids and Port Edwards Elementary in Port Edwards.  The program will begin the week of October 7th with an orientation to be held at each school in September.

Anyone interested must complete the application and pass a background check.

Please help us spread the word about the program and if someone is interested but does not have internet access they can call 715-421-0390.  Questions regarding the program should be directed to Tari Jahns
