Pre-registration for Stuff the School Bus Begins May 1st

Parents and guardians who wish to register their students to receive FREE school supplies can begin applying on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.  Pre-registration will continue until August 1, 2019.  School supplies will be distributed during “Stuff the Desk” on August 16-17, 2019 at Lincoln High School (1801 16th St. S., Wisconsin Rapids).   Items that are distributed will come from a community-wide collection on August 1, 2019 during Lunch By The River.

To pre-register to receive free school supplies:


There will be six time slots to select from.  During registration participants will be able to select their time slot on a first-come, first-served basis.  A total of 150 students will be accepted per time slot.  Time slots are:

  • Friday, August 16, 2019, 3:00-3:30pm
  • Friday, August 16, 2019, 4:00-4:30pm
  • Friday, August 16, 2019, 5:00-5:30pm
  • Saturday, August 17, 2019, 8:30-9:00am
  • Saturday, August 17, 2019, 9:00-9:30am
  • Saturday, August 17, 2019, 9:30-10:00am

Registrations must be completed by August 1, 2019.  After August 1st, registered families will receive a postcard reminding them of the time-slot they selected.  

Parents and guardians who do not pre-register will be able to walk-in ONLY from:  Friday, August 16, 5:30 – 6:00pm only; and Saturday, August 17, 10:00 – 10:30am only.  These will be the only time slots available for walk-ins so please plan accordingly.  

Stuff the School Bus is a community collaborative effort to collect and distribute school supplies to students in need.  All families who are in financial need are eligible.  For more information, please contact United Way’s 2-1-1.

The committee would like to remind families who sign up that the supplies distributed at Stuff the Desk are a result of community donations and may not be all of the items requested by classrooms (as teachers and school districts vary in supply requests). Please contact your child’s school if other supplies are needed.
