Because of You… United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties improves the lives of thousands of people in our area every day of the year. As this year’s Campaign Chair, I have experienced the benefits of the programs United Way supports from many individuals and organizations. Serving in this role has allowed me to better understand the needs of people in our community, and how United Way provides assistance directly and through partner programs. Some programs are relatively constant, while others address new and changing challenges that people in our community are dealing with.
Thanks to each and every one of you for choosing to support United Way. Although monetary gifts are the primary measurement of the campaign, there are many other important roles that make this all happen. All the amazing volunteers; workplace teams and coordinators, loaned executives, and others, your actions show your values. Also, the companies who support the campaigns and fundraisers in countless ways throughout the year. And to the United Way staff, small in numbers but big in heart!
