The Stuff the Bus committee wants to thank our community members for the overwhelming support for the 2022 Stuff the Bus event. All together we collected over 25,000 school supply items!
We are still accepting school supply donations at the United Way office until August 17th, monetary donations can be made online at uwswac.org or by check made payable to United Way and mailed to 351 Oak Street, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494. Every year, hundreds of kids are without the supplies that they need to be successful at school. The Stuff the Bus committee tries to send children to school with the tools they need to thrive and this year, our community really came through and helped these students in need. A big thank you to the 31 volunteers who helped sort and inventory school supplies as they were dropped off by our local organizations who held drives.
Anyone who signed up as a participant for Stuff the Desk can expect a postcard with their time slot in the coming days. Stuff the Desk distribution will be held on August 19th-20th, 2022.
