United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties Will Give Away Free Children's Boks June 6-13

Help United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties fight the “summer slide” by attending the twelfth annual Great Book Giveaway from June 6-13, 2023!

Volunteers will be reading to children at each location for approximately half an hour; and afterwards each child can select FREE books to take home and keep.  The books were collected during book drives held in previous years.

All children and youth (from ages birth to 12 years), parents, grandparents, caregivers, and day care providers are invited to attend this free event.  Families can come to the event together; and day care providers are welcome to come and bring along all the children in their care.

2023 Great Book Giveaway Schedule:
Tuesday, June 6th: THINK Academy Playground 10:30am
Tuesday, June 6th:  Wisconsin Rapids ZOO 1:30pm
Wednesday, June 7th:  Ed Heuer Elementary School, Port Edwards 10:30am
