For our free Great Book Giveaway event, local volunteers read books to children; then each child can select books to take home to keep. Children, their parents, grandparents, caregivers, and families are all invited. When children read - or are read to - the benefits include: boosting their literacy skills, children learn about the world around them and it increases their school preparedness. The book drive for this event will be held April 3rd-28th, 2023. Drop off books or donations at the United Way office - 351 Oak Street, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494.
