Governor Tony Evers Declares September & October United Way Months

Governor Tony Evers has designated the months of September and October 2022 as United Way Months in Wisconsin, in recognition of the launch of United Way annual campaigns throughout the state.

United Ways across Wisconsin each work within their local communities to meet local needs, using funds raised in their communities. Together, United Ways fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community. We all win when individuals have good health, a child succeeds in school, and families are financially stable. Every year, Wisconsin community members and businesses really step up to supply the expertise and resources to mobilize lasting change.

Wisconsinites have many ways to give, advocate and volunteer with United Way to be a part of the change and help build a brighter future for all.

This year, United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties raised funds to support 29 programs, 6 coalitions and several community initiatives. The chair of this year’s campaign, Craig Broeren, urges everyone to become involved by donating at least $1 per week. Interested persons should call United Way at 715-421-0390.

During the United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties campaign, there is an opportunity to win one of five $1,000 Sweepstakes prizes! Donate $1.00 per week / $52.00 per year for 50 chances to win one of five $1,000 cash prizes; increase your prior donation of $52.00 or more by $26.00 or more and double your chances to 100.
